Just got back from San Diego and the 2010 Active Living Research conference. The conference was entitled “Engaging Communities to Create Active Living Environments.” There were a lot of really good presenters but I think that the most valuable part of the event was everyone’s friendliness, willingness to chat, network and make connections. I met some really great people from Transportation Alternatives. They have a really cool campaign right now to develop a bike buddy app. Check out the video:
I also met Dr. Jennifer Dill at Portland State University. She has done some really great work in transportation research, particularly cycling. Check out her website for more information.
Overall the conference was well worth it and I will be back next year.
